There is so much good to admire about Rays performance, yet he chose the word 'peacock' to describe him and talked about how he likes to strutt his stuff. As I mentioned in another thread, Ray does exactly what dancers have to do...its called performing and he is fabulous at it. I can't help but think there might be a little bit of jealousy coming from Kyran with that comment.

I'm struggling to come to any other conclusion but jealousy, it just come across as all a bit unnecessary.

He seemed to be trying to be subtle about his thoughts on Ray but gave praise in one breath and then discredits him in another particularly when bigging up Sam and using him as a comparison..

I'm afraid I have to agree! Kyran has done himself no favours over the past couple of weeks IMO firstly with his remarks on the Wright Stuff and now again. He is coming across as rather bitter and jealous and his comments are totally unnecessary. He is also quite blinkered in his view of big lifts being so important as that was the main thing he was strong at apart from basic skating. He seems to have little appreciation of musicality interpretation or artistry and dance as they are maybe outside his sphere of competence?

I admired Kyran as a sportsman but his sportsmanship seems to have deserted him now. Such a shame!

Ray is definitely not cocky. Why do people say that? He is a confident, talented skater, who is a joy to watch.

It's quite possible to be confident and talented and yet modest about it. As much as I admire his skating I'm afraid I find him quite an unpleasant cocky little twerp! He knows he's good and wants to make sure everyone else knows too. A little humility goes a long way!

What on earth does he do to make you say that (bib)?!

I don't find him cocky in the slightest and don't see any actions from him to suggest this.

Just my humble opinion! Clearly some find him wonderful, I find his self congratulatory actions when the results are announced to be so cocky. I suppose we all see what we want to!

Which everybody does when they get good comments/scores, pretty normal behaviour.

It would be rather odd not to show you are chuffed surely!

I didn't see Kyran on TWS but I did catch his interview on This Morning. I agree he sounded very bitter on that, he did try to compliment Ray but it didn't seem sincere as he wanted us to believe Sam was a better skater than Ray. Maybe that's where he wants his votes to go?

He said Ray doesn't do all the big lifts but that's not what we always want to see. Sometimes the lifts, (whoever does them) can interrupt the smooth flow of the routine. The grace in the skating and dancing when performed properly doesn't always need lifts. Lifts are tricks that are often used to distract us from the poor general skating, lack of complexity and finishing of moves.

I thought Kyran was pretty good and I would rather lose both Hayley & Sam before him. My 1,2,3 would by Ray, Beth & Kyran.

But this is Ray - he is not allowed to have emotions or show a reaction apparently.
