Hi I have just purchase the Sony Blu Ray player 4100 to access lovefilm and Netflix. I read various articles online which said that the device had to be registered with Sony and then I would get a code to enter on their site, and then get another code for netflix.

However, once it was all set up I logged on to Sony and created an account but for some reason I did not get a device code or have to enter any code for netflix as it worked with just my details and password.

Have I bypassed something that I shouldn't have and do I really need to register my device on sony's website. I only want to use lovefilm and netflix.
