Agreed. I like it, but it's flawed (like everything on DOI!)

I love the idea of show dances, sometimes they're nice to wash, but yes they really don't do anything other than someone saying "I have better costumes and pyrotechnics than you". Another flaw.

Not sure what could replace it, but if I thought about it, like someone clearly had to, I'm sure something would come to mind that worked but was suitably spectacular.

In the days when DOI had required elements a final routine including all of these would have been great. That particular DOI ship has long since sailed though.

If nothing else I am glad we had the showcase routines just for Matthew & Nina's Singin In The Rain

Flying....yuk, yuk, yuk.

Although I can't really complain, I've only been watching Ray's routines, on YouTube. The others I find boring.
