Tasha Lem - will she return?

Ok, so I've searched through the DW forums and can't see a thread on Tasha Lem (apologies if I'm repeating what someone else has started), but I adored Orla Brady's performance in The Time of the Doctor and think she's a character well worth revisiting. She's already demonstrated an ability to keep the Dalek puppet inside her under control so surely her return is feasible?

She's independent, powerful, intelligent, and just a little bit flirty - exactly what I'd love to see more of in DW! Also, the icy stare of death she gave to Clara when asking to talk to the Doctor in private was to die for.

Does anyone else love her as much as me, or am I alone in my girl-crush obsession? *attempts to tie up own hair like a walnut whip*

What a current topic for a thread. I mean she was on the telly in one episode about 3 months ago and only now you want to tell us how amazing she was.

But you are right, there are no other tasha lem threads. No wait i just went to google and typed 'tasha lem digital spy', guess what I found:

Anyway I'm probably being harsh on you but we've been hit by a few weird posters recently.

To be fair, so far inbetween series as we are, with the exception of filming spoilers, nothing is a current topic at the moment, and I do think it's a little harsh too shout someone down like this for having a doctor who topic come into their head, and then feeling like talking about it on a doctor who discussion forum. I know exactly what you mean about the 'wierd posters' comment, but to me this particular topic dosen't seem inane or repetitive, just someone innocently voicing their liking of a character.

Alright, chill out! Why does it matter how long ago she was featured? There are still people calling for Jenny and Sally Sparrow to come back, for Christ's sake. No need to be so nasty about it.

And as for me being "weird"?
1. Who are you, the Freak Police?
2. Yes I am weird. Weird and proud. At least I'm not boring.

To be honest, she was a strong willed character who worked well in the context of that episode, and although she could easily return if a story called for it, I personally feel that she was a bit too much like a river copy for them to want her to return. You never know though, she's head of the silence, so any future story they might be in could feature her

Ok 😊 I see what you mean about the other threads - I did trawl through the first seven of about one billion DS DW forum headings to see if there was a thread on Tasha Lem but gave up after that. You know how it is: it's Sunday, you're in a roast lamb food coma, if you have to watch one more episode of Lewis you'll scream...

I agree with doctor blue box, she did have a touch of the Rivers about her, right down to being called a psychopath - I'm a little uncomfortable with how that word is tossed around on DW, what do you reckon to it?

If I'm honest, I think the Doctor is a psychopath after all he has seen in his lives and all the people he has lost, he struggles everyday to keep it in. Every so often we get glimpses of it .... Or atleast the writers write him that way

Roast lamb, Clara would be jealous! (yes I know she was making a turkey .....)

Logically, he's HAVE to be to be able to keep functioning after all he's seen and done. It was especially apparent in the way he treated Martha.

Clara would have an absolute fit if she looked in my biscuit tin. My macaroons beat her soufflé any day.

Ooh I never picked up on that! I don't think River's a psychopath in the true sense of the word; they're born, not "custom-made". She's certainly had some horrendous conditioning. But the Doctor definitely shows signs of being a high-functioning psychopath.

Thanks I'm not as good as some of the people on here, but like all of us, I try. I think that quote stuck because when I watched that scene I was hoping she'd say yes.

Haha! Moffatt certainly tries! He does like his "fiesty" women. God, I hate that word.

Why did you dislike the character of TL?

Because she just fits into that stereotype so lazily. Also, she was portrayed as being flirty and assertive but of course the Doctor shows her what's what by grabbing her and giving her a kiss. Either make her genuinely in control or not, rather than this meaningless sass.
