Judges scores don't count in the final they are just a guide, unless of course they change it to suit

But Beth might get a surge of extra votes if the public think she's being short changed in the marks.

The two skating judges also marked her higher than Beth despite the fact that she barely let go of Dan for the entire performance.

Ridiculous.

I wish people would stop going on about Beth's difficulty as if this should somehow equal amazing scores. It's called Dancing on Ice, not "Do Tricks In A Static Order on Ice". I'd say Hayley is closest to dancing on ice, despite her obvious flaws, and as someone said she can mask her shortcomings better than Beth.

I love Beth, I do think she's undermarked, I'm glad the public are keeping her in (I threw a vote her way last night, but 3 Hayley's) but she's not perfect, and I do prefer Hayley's performance overall. If their best bits could merge it'd be the perfect competitor. That might have been Suzanne except she was a bit like a jack of all trades master at none, and was very error prone this series.

That said, Hayley was overmarked. But I think her routine was better than Beth's last night. Beth's was significantly harder but couldn't have been more placed and ordered if it tried, ill or not.

personally I find Hayleys overacting performance cringeworthy - I would much rather watch Beth

I think now Sam has got his mojo back HE deserves a place in the final, Hayley and Beth, although fairly good, each fall short in their own way.

I have Beth as my 2nd favourite behind Ray but I really did prefer Hayley's performance over Beths last night. I think Beth would benefit from doing less tricks and a bit more skating tbh.

Beths "performances" are mechanical, goes through the motions but with NO passion, she cant perform from the inside.

Beth should get more credit for what she actually does but I find her very wooden to watch. I hope they're both in the final though!

Yes, she is disappointing me more and more, her skating isn't flowing at all. I am hoping she is better this week and does a super routine to wow me which she hasn't done yet.

Hayley's solo performance was not very good, and she was over-marked, but I loved her couples skate. I often find her annoying, but it was my favourite routine of last night, and deserved a score to reflect it.

It's clear that Hayley's routines have to be tailored to allow for her lack of skating ability.

I wish therefore that they would similarly tailor Beth's routines to allow for her to dance in a way that allows for her lack of acting/emoting ability.

The only routine of Beth's that she seemed to genuinely enjoy doing was to Avicii's Hey Brother. There are surely enough musical choices out there for her to have routines that don't require her to have to play to a specific theme that doesn't suit her or (or wear ghastly outfits/wigs).

In Series 4 Roxanne skated to Hallelujah (Alexandra Burke) - I think Beth would shine at something like that

she also seemed to enjoy the one that hand the Scottish dancing theme (unless that is the one you are refering too )

I know that there will always be controversy over Beth and Hayley - and yes the latter can act her role with more ease than Beth - however she does NOT dance on ice - she get's pulled and pushed by Dan - and this is how her shortcomings are masked to some. Chris and Jayne should have stopped disguising her flaws long ago. Even ice dancers should be able to skate.

Why does she never do a big lift - is it Hayley or is it Dan.
