It's only likely to work in a fairly limited and crippled fashion - it's really pretty pointless shipping TV's round the world, sell the old set before you leave, and buy a new one when you get where you're going.
Going back a LONG time I did convert an Australian CRT TV for the UK, as I recall it required a UHF tuner fitting (as it was VHF only), and I think it needed the sound converting as well?.
Obviously things are completely different now with digital TV.
