Samsung Smart TV: Weird ITV Player issue
I've been trying to watch Coronation Street through the ITV Player app on a Samsung Smart TV. The programme plays without a problem, however for the last few occasions I've faced a problem in instances where two episodes have aired on the same night.
When trying to watch either episode, it is actually the second episode that plays every time, despite the separate programmes being listed correctly. For example, when searching for Coronation Street on Friday 21st February there are two episodes: shown at 7:30 and 8:30 respectively. However if I select the 7:30 episode it plays the 8:30 episode- both episodes are the same. ![]() This has happened several times and it is always the case that when two episodes are on the same day, both options always play the later episode only. I've emailed ITV about this however I just thought I'd see if anyone else had experienced this problem? |

How very strange! It can only be a problem of ITV's creation, surely?
Although I gave up watching all the soaps some years ago I will try looking at the episodes of Coronation Street that you have mentioned and see what happens. |

I just tried looking at the two episodes of Coronation Street from Friday 28 February. Although the two were shown as separate selections in the ITV Player with different static images both played the same episode. I stopped playing the first selection after a couple of minutes and then tried the second - up came a dialogue asking if I wanted to resume playing from where I had stopped.
Very strange!! |
