I would but their update link isnt working!

Whoops!

I prefer Flysat myself (although KoS has the best Search features).

Apparently Lyngsat do get some input from the likes of SES, so don't rely entirely upon hobbyists etc.

I emailed KoS the other day about the changes. They must be on holiday as they are usually fairly prompt.

Well Flysat at least lists Sky's encrypted channels but no extra other than channel names, KoS shows all data for encrypted channels which helps a lot, except when they dont update!
Lyngsat is good although on encrypted channels there is no info except to say Sky UK and what type DVB-S or DVB-S2 the transponder is, so its only good for FTA channels!

Lyngsat has more info on the packages page:

From my understanding from talking to ex-colleagues working within ITV. the long term plan is to merge the local programming for Westcountry and West into 1 super news programme. when this happens the westcountry will then get its own HD variant.

what i mean with this is : at the moment, you currently have West Country West (former westcountry tv area) and West Country East (former HTV). i.e. 2 SD feeds. they are planning to merge both east and west feeds to be still broadcast at Bristol. when Ofcom approves this move they will then give us the localised HD variant.

Note also that the page can be sorted 3 ways - by frequency, by SID or by channel number.

They've only just committed in the last three weeks to Ofcom to providing a separate news service for West & Westcountry as part of their licence renewal, as part of the reinstatements of some regional news programmes. West & Westcountry will be merged together for a licencing point of view, following the separation of the HTV West and Wales regions effective 1st Jan 2015.

Central has two regional news versions, with one of them in HD, so the existence of two sub-regions should be no issue. Meridian has a similar set-up.

So did everyone else. A Freesat tune will restore it if you don't want to wait for housekeeping overnight.

Ive just noticed on freetime that the ITVHD logo has changed to plain text, but also all my planned recordings have disappeared.
So you guys might want to check yours too.

Edit: I've actually just noticed that I now have ITVHD Meridian South East
Now if only BBC could hurry up and get me BBC1HDSouth East.

Looks like we finally have ITV Central too. EPG taking an age to populate

edit: It's there on the epg but the box won't change channels to it.

Same here, looks like it's going to need either a freesat retune or a reset.

Im glad to see that freesat now has access to the same FTA PSB channels and their HD counterparts as Sky does.
Even better as far as freesat goes, HD swapping is on all HD boxes, whereas with Sky HD swapping for FTA HD channels, only happens if you have a HD sub! One up for freesat!

Who knows... but then they still haven't even mapped all the SD regions on Freesat, even though they're FTA. Anglia West for example.

I'd forgotten about that. Can't think of any reason why it hasn't happened other than someone at ITV can't be a**sed to arrange it with Freesat.
