Please can someone advise me what scart leads to put where. I'm trying to put something on a DVD from SKY Plus. I want to feed SKY Plus though the DVD input but can't seem to work it out I have done it before but can't remember what to do. Thanks.

What DVD recorder are you using?
What SCART sockets are on the back of the Sky box?
What connections have you tried so far?

Having those details will help give a definitive answer.

I'm using a Toshiba DVD/VHS Recorder it has two scart sockets on it. The SKY Plus box has one Scart Socket as does the TV. I have just been moving them around and hoping for the best.

The TV is JVC source list TV, Scart, Side AV,HDM11,HDM12.

Thanks.

What model number is the recorder? It is the inputs on this that are important.

The Sky box is easy as it only has one SCART so that needs to be plugged into one of the SCART sockets on the Recorder. Without the exact model number I can only base the rest on a random model from the Toshiba website.

The one I looked at had two SCART sockets, AV1/TV and AV2/Decoder. On that basis the Sky box should be connected to AV2/Decoder and AV1/TV connected to the TV SCART. ie...

Sky SCART --> Recorder AV2/Decoder SCART
Recorder AV1/TV SCART --> TV SCART.

So on the TV select the SCART input. On the Recorder select the AV2 input. That should make the TV display the Sky box output. And as long as you have AV2 set as the record source the recorder should record whatever the Sky box is doing, be that watching a live TV programme or playing back a recording.

If your recorder has SCART sockets labelled as above then try that and see if it works.

There is a manual with a picture of the rear of the recorder here

http://www.manualslib.com/manual/180...page=12#manual

If that is the same as yours then connect the Sky box to the AV2/Decoder SCART, top one labelled 6 in the diagram and the TV to the AV1/TV SCART lower one labelled 7.

Then as I posted above as long as you select AV2 on the recorder (INPUT SELECT button at the top of the remote) you should be good to go.
