Android Tablet vs Media Player

Hi

I don't understand the different between the Tablet and Media player as far as Android works.

I have a Tablet running 4.2.2 but I've been told that an Android Media Player/PC running 4.2.2 will not do some the same things.

I use the Tablet to view things like Eurosport Player - it works fine. I liked to watch it using a Media Player/PC box but people suggest that it will not work.

Are the inside bits different or is it hampered in some way??
