When Lucy dies, Cindy can come and collect the daughter she was once forced to leave behind and escort her to the hereafter. Even though EastEnders has always been rooted in naturalism, I think the time has come for the show to incorporate more imaginative ways of telling a certain story.

Michelle Collins is an icon of EastEnders and was thoroughly disrespected by Matthew Robinson and Mal Young. DTC needs to rectify this by having Cindy play a part in her daughter's exit, if only as a motif.

No she wasn't disrespected, she was being disrespectful to the show and it's producers.

In regards to your question, no. I wouldn't like to see dream sequences in EastEnders. Sorry.

Sometimes I am ashamed to be English! People here have no imagination. They want everything to appear as it is. They are so unadventurous.

What has being English got to do with it?!

You accuse the TPTB of disrespecting Cindy yet you want to spit in the face of the viewers with some sippy sappy dream sequence.

SMH.

Yeah I agree, the other night for instance when Ian was looking at a picture of his dad I would have liked to of heard Pete's voice as clearly Ian was thinking about him.

How can this be the same country that produced the great romantic poets like Keats and Shelley? A country that condemns any notion for romantic or wistful yearnings. A country that has become sickeningly cynical, anti-intellectual and dumbed down. A country of philistines!

Dream sequences in Eastenders wouldn't work.

Dream sequences are more suited to Hollyoaks & Neighbours (both of which I am a fan of, before anyone says anything!)

I'm with ya Boofy. Ian dreams he's being stalked and shot by Cindy, screams and wakes up to find its Denise kicking him in the ribs to stop him snoring!

Better still, after Lucy's death Ian dreams about Cindy dressed in angelic attire leading Lucy away, ending with Ian waking up screaming like he did when Jane got shot:

You would adore the Indian soaps Boofy. I don't watch them any more but there was one I got into years back where the heroine went to prison after her husband's ex wife framed her for his son's murder. Everyone in her extended family including her daughter turned against her. She 'died' in prison.

Then a few month's later her exact double buys a local business and interacts with the family who insist that it is the same woman and drag her to the police station. She is released as the finger prints don't match. The woman who framed her becomes obsessed with proving its the same woman which culminates in her arranging for her daughter to be shot in front of her. If she is the same woman she will save her daughter and go to prison again. If she doesn't save her daughter she will keep her cover but will lose her daughter.

Cue dramatic music. She tries to save her daughter but the daughter is shot. Bitch ex wife crows that she knows the woman has lost her daughter. Music at a crescendo. Then daughter gets up from the floor to reveal bullet proof vest and reveals she made up with her mum months ago and has proof bitch ex-wife killed her bro. It was the dog's bollocks of camp drama. You would be in your element!

It would have to be very VERY carefully done. Nothing ridiculous like Hollyoaks, but two very poignant 'dream' scenes occured in Corrie; when Vera's ghost returned when Jack died. And also, in Emmerdale when Tricia died and appeared to Marlon, telling him to move on with his life. Very sad, very poignant. I think it could work, especially if Ian has a breakdown and begins to hallucinate.

Are you implying that characters in EE don't dream?
