I feel like Dot is underused a lot without Jim about, it's a real shame as there's still plenty that could be done with the character.

Its a real shame, I didn't even mind when Jim came back, but was just mute and in his chair, he was still there and we still got to see him , but alas

Yes I do. I happened to catch a 2001 episode where he proposed at the London wheel. It was perfect.

A nice bit of classy romance, but now we have Dexter showing Nancy his penis in a pub cellar

Yes!!! Who'd a thought standards would drop so quickly!!! It was really sweet the way Dot accepted too. And beautifully paced.

Oh come on, I bet Dot was a right hussy in her younger days. All that bible-bashing hides a sordid past.

I'm sure she was ! I know June was a nympho in her early days, but its still nice to have a bit of balance in the show, rather than everyone trying to hump everythiing

You're telling me that's not normal? I've obviously been getting it wrong all these years.

I remember when Jim was introduced to EE and he was a nasty racist bit of work

Have to say I haven't, not that I didn't like the character just that his absence hasn't had an effect on me.

Yes he was, Derek took after him as well because he was a violent racist.

Does that mean my theory that Stacey could become a devotee of Buddhism and commit herself to a life of contemplative meditation could have some traction!

Yes, this is the right path for Stacey.

I can imagine Stacey chanting to Madonna's song Shanti/Ashtangi from the Ray of Light album.

This is why I miss him even more. He was a layered character with a lot of history, he was racist like most of his peers at the time, but he grew up and we saw him bin his idea of non-white people and watched him become friends with the likes of Patrick and their friendship was one of the best...

Yes!!! When Janine tells Stacey to do one she should tell her that she's frozen, when her heart's not open.
