Car Phone Holder

Hi Guys!

Can anyone recommend a good, stable in car phone holder that can be used in the air vents? I'm fed up of the window sucker type as it leaves that horrid dirty ring mark on the windscreen.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Have a look at products from Brodit, they make brackets specific to each car model, and you can then add on a mounting device designed for your particular mobile.

Not cheap mind, probably looking at about £50 all in

Another vote for brodit.

You get a 'dash clip' that is designed to clip in-between gaps on the dash...between the stereo etc and then more often than not a device specific mount that screws onto the dash clip.

Depending on how popular your phone is there could be umpteen different options for holders.... some are just for the phone itself, some will hold the phone while its in a specific case (otter box defenders usually) and some adjust to fit several types of case.

If you change car, you take the device holder with you and just buy a new dash clip for the new car. Voila.

I generally use them for SatNavs too....my TomTom is on a dash clip mounted to the A-Pillar and the phone is just to the left of the stereo.

If by chance you have a Samsung S4, Note2, Note3 then look at the iBolt range of holders. They offer a AUX out via USB so one cable can charge and feed an AUX in on a stereo.

The Kenu Airframe works really well and is just £20. It might be exclusive to Apple it's in their retail stores and online. Hasn't failed me yet!

I have a Kenu Airframe and can highly recommend it. Secure but small enough to put in your pocket or bag. Got mine from Mobile Fun who are doing a special offer on them at the moment.

I've got an Arkon mount which holds my phone very securely. This can be supplied with an air-vent mount. However, I've coupled it with an AMPS adapter plate, which replaces the air-vent holder with a bracket that allows me to bolt it to a vehicle-specific Brodit mount. As far as I can tell, Brodit don't supply a universal mount, so this gives me a rock-solid universal solution.

IIRC, the mount cost me about £8, and the adapter plate about £3, although I had to order that from the States. The Brodit mount cost about £15.
