Cindy's baby. I know this may sound harsh but given she has been drinking, seemingly to excess for her age, I want to see the baby have Foetal Alcohol Syndrome, because that as far as I am aware has not been tackled by EE, but it does happen, and it could give Mimi some really good content to deal with. We have seen in the past from time to time that when she gets the right material, she can be brilliant, she just has the same problem lots of characters have had in the past on Eastenders in that the writing has not allowed them to fully utilise their talent. So yeah, a FAS storyline for Cindy Jr could be a really good thing, and tie in with the Year of the Beale

Yeah, in a sick sort of way I hope that there's some kind of complication when the baby is born. I know it sounds kind of dark, but it'd put a new twist on the same old teenage pregnancy/motherhood storyline, and I think the actress is good enough to handle it.

Yeah, we've had plenty of teen pregnancies on Eastenders, so to have some kind of disability/FAS twist to it would be refreshing

We don't watch soaps for social issues. ENOUGH of this!!! If we want to know about this kind of thing, we now have something called the internet.

Totally agree. Too many teen pregnancies have been fine (all in fact I think,) too many adult pregnancies have had complications. It's time for things to be the other way around.

People can't post what they'd like to see happen because you don't like it? Grow up.

Quite so. Whilst that poster may not watch it for social issues, it would be folly to even try and suggest that soaps do not try to tackle social issues/raise awareness of social issues.

No thank you. What a mature response, what about Stacey branning and her groundbreaking Bipolar storyline. Should it never have been done because there were documentaries instead?

very good point, and even though storylines like this can be hard to watch because theyre so heartbreaking but i think it would be good for eastenders to tackle this situation, and it would fit in for cindy because of how much she was drinking last couple of eps x

The hospital diagnosed her with alcohol poisoning. Which is quite significant. Plus, in my role as a youth worker, I have generally observed across the region I am involved in lots of young pregnant ladies drinking without thinking of the consequences to their baby, so something like this could to a great extent serve an educative/awareness raising purpose

Sorry but having a disability sort of storyline is not what i want to see. We've already had that with Billys children so it would just be rehashing the same sort of storyline. Additionally i feel the pregnancy storyline as a whole is simply lazy writing as we've only just had the Lola schoolgirl pregnancy thing and hey look there doing it all over again!

Now if Lucy was still going to be around it mite of been a little different as they could of revisited the storyline when Lucy had an abortion a few years ago and having a baby in the house could of brought up a whole load of unresolved emotional issues for Lucy and there could of been some powerful scenes perhaps with Ian or Jane, maybe with her regretting having the abortion.

Of course that storyline is a non starter now..

So you don't want any sort of disability as that would be a rehash - but we've not had it in years. There are only two choics for a pregnancy (besides abortioN) when it comes down to it

1) Healthy baby
2) Unhealthy baby

So to avoid rehashes, are you saying that nobody in any soap should ever get pregnant again?

Dont be silly of course thats not what im saying but having two school age girls getting pregnant in such a short space of time seems kind of pointless and lazy. The storyline has already just been done with Lola, why do it all over again?

I totally agree. I am sick to f*** with teenage pregnancy storylines, WTF is DTC thinking of going ahead with this 5 mins after Lola's story.

And for the life of me I don't know why Cindy is even there in the first place? she's nothing to do with Ian yet she's living in his house. She may well be Lucy and Peter's half sister but they can't stand the sight of her. Why DTC didn't swing his axe in her direction instead of Carl and Kirsty's, I'll never understand!

I want to see Cindy leave Walford, I hate teenage pregnancy sls even with twists, and I'm not a fan of Cindy jr or the planks of wood Liam and TJ.

I like Cindy, i just with they'd of left her to be the age she is rather than trying to make her older than she is by making her pregnant. Your right tho, i dunno why shes actually living with Ian as he's nothing to do with her. Carl and Kirsty on the other hand are no loss to the show and axing them was at least one good decision made by DTC even if Carl's murder was rather a let down.

You see, I thought Carl & Kirsty had potential but of course they had no idea what to do with Kirsty beyond throwing herself at the irresistible moody chain-smoking gorgeous sex god that is Max Branning, and they turned Carl into a one-dimensional villain rather than explore the obvious abusive relationship he had with his mother

The problem with Carl was that everytime he spoke he sounded like Philip Schofield doing his Phil Mitchell impression and therefore i cud never take him seriously lol
