Did not predict that....Ray should now win but why was he in skate off? Do public presume others are voting?

Nobody hates her. I certainly don't but I think Sam is better than her.

In theory there are 5 combinations:


Hayley 4 Then +4 +4 +3 +3 +2
Ray 3 Then +1 +2 +2 +1 +1
Beth 2 Then +3 +3 +4 +4 +4
Sam 1 Then +2 +1 +1 +2 +3

All have Beth in the top 2 in the viewer vote, Hayley was probably in the top 2 as well unless (unlikely) both Beth and Sam beat her. Ray had to be in the bottom 2.

Because they said Sam and Ray shouldn't have been in the skate off which suggests they think Beth (obviously) and Hayley should have been - despite giving Hayley a 40 score. Tho as others on here have said, what they really meant is only Beth should def have been in the skate off, then they could have voted her off, whoever she was against.

I think Beth getting through and Ray being in the skate off has blown the competition wide open. I'm looking forward to the final, I'm hoping for a Beth win but it could go anyway.

Me too. I hope the public get right behind her, although I guess the panel will be pallying up to her next week, as it's only the public vote (isn't it?)

And why shouldnt Beth be in the skate off??? She wasn't that great tonight in any of her performances....Hayley did have a great night tonight. ..but I did expect het in the skate off too. ..vote said otherwise!!!! Beth has been lucky but the votes for her has been sympathy votes for sure....to stick it to the judges big time! !!

To me Beth was in the Top 2 with Hayley on the flying, I think scoring Ray and Beth the same in the flying was a joke. To me Beth was also in the top 2 with Ray on the skating round as she skated well, didn't rely on being carried around, performed well and did lots of new exciting lifts as well as have a great partnership with Lukasz during both routines. To me, I can see why she should have been in the skate off but I find the judges and Ray implying / stating Hayley and Beth should've been in the skate off was unfair.

Also mrbernay yes next week is all public vote.

maybe controversial I think Dan is the Reason Haley hasn't been in the skate off.
the fact she is working on a soap and they are notorious for long hours she isn't as good as her first time. Its a shame that because Beth really doesn't have an Acting background
and cant play into the Cameras that's being taken as a Negative by the judges.

What Karen feels the need to mention live on air about her "performance" when she is with her all week.? And doesn't feel the need maybe to loosen up when all this is being put together.

Hayley didn't have a great night. She got a flying routine with no transitions or requirement to skate alone, or do big moves. She then got a dance routine similar to her Charleston - right in her comfort zone - with nothing new in it, no big lifts, and no tricks. She managed it reportedly on two days training with Dan. She got great marks for that, but you have to ask whethe the marks were deserved, why other people got less for doing more difficult work , and who else could do what she does as well.

Beth had more difficulty and bigger moves in both routines. Tand D even had to point this out, as the judges missed it.

Sympathy?

I had a smile from ear to ear watching her pairs routine. It was great, one of the best routines to come out of this series.

Go and compare it to Hayley's routine and tell me - seriously - which one would be more difficult to learn in five days.

Indeed. The interesting point that follows is that we could have had a proper competition without the bad judging, weaker choregraphy and twists. The public vote isn't massively behind Ray. That means there was scope for someone to compete on their own strengths against his, when many assumed that he would win anyway. We could have had a close final like series 3, and decided who was the best contender to Ray to get there.

Instead, we have got a competition between Beth, Beth's skills, the public vote and the judges, and another one between Beth, and Hayleys ability to dance a suitable routine, fanbase and overmarking , and Ray's fanbase, marks and talent.

You've completely missed the point i was trying to make in my reply to your previous post asking how a poster knew for certain that was what Jason was thinking i.e. "And yet the judges were soon wishing they hadn't by the time it came to the skate-off". I posted what I posted to make the point that the other poster knew because Jason said so (ie Sam and Ray shouldn't have been in the skate off, thus saying in effect Hayley should have been (as well as Beth)). I wasn't making a point about whether Beth should be in a skate off, I was answering your question.
