No, not 'oh please'. I think you must have a prejudice against Beth rather than being against her for purposes of her skating if you think she's dreadful. Plus, I find it a little odd that you've included Hayley in that list - fine, she can pull faces and perform better Beth, but not skate, which is fairly fundamental to winning Dancing on Ice. I know little about skating about myself, but I've seen plenty of people on here and off who do and are aware that Beth is miles ahead of Hayley in terms of skating.

I think I will avoid DS on Finals night on Sunday. The vitriol will be knee deep if Hayley beats Beth.

The backlash has been instigated by the judges. I can't remember Beth ever being fairly critiqued in either series, they just slate her.

I don't want Beth to win cause she is the weakest contestant left and that makes me prejudice. Slightly dramatic and unnecessary to call me that.

I like Hayley but I don't go calling her opposition prejudice its just not classy. Hayley has the performance aspect for me and she can skate when she needs too. Ray for instance can only skate cause he is male whereas the females need to include lifts etc to enhance the routines. Beth just skates around cause that's all she can rely on.

I think if you look at the past contestants ever to do Dancing on Ice Beth Tweedle winning the all stars series would be just bland. When I think Dancing on Ice I think Ray Quinn / Jai Ho / Chris Fountain / Suzanne (Finale Night) etc. Beth winning.... just no.

FYI I also supported Beth the series she won.

Hayley cannot skate when she needs to - as proved during her solo skate.
Beth spends time skating because she can.
Hayley has very few lifts or tricks in her repetoire.
Beth is capable of spectacular lifts and tricks.
The only area where Hayley is superior to Beth is the performance - which is to be expected from a stage school product.

The very idea of a DOI winner who can barely balance on ice and whose only talent is jazz hands and cheesy grins is very unappealing.

Agree totally, it makes a nonsense of the programme, which is dancing on ice, skating, not acting cheesy on ice!

Jason thinks Hayley is the complete package because of her performances. He uses the fact that the show is called DANCING on Ice to ignore the concept of skating technique completely. (Even though ice dance is a skating discipline and technique is just as important as artistic.) I wonder what he'd say if this were a dance competition on a dance floor and a competitor used OTT performances to try and hide the fact that they can't dance, the way Hayley uses OTT performances to try and hide the fact that she can't skate very well. Would he be so keen to dismiss technique then?

Beth may not have great performance skills but she's a great skater. She's capable of skating without hanging on to her pro partner for dear life, as proved by the fact that she has a decent amount of unassisted skating in every routine - and not just some armography and toe steps, like Hayley. She has been stretched and challenged throughout the compeition, unlike Hayley who has routines only playing up her strengths, which haven't stretched or challenged her in any way, except for the solo skating where she just proved how poor her skating is.

Personally, I think Ray is the complete package and should win but I wouldn't mind in the slightest if Beth won. I'd be extremely disappointed if Hayley won.
