I was stunned when Beth won last year. Likeable she may be but Matt was the best skater.”
Beth was a very deserving winner last year - she was magnificent - and like this series woefully under marked by the panel in favour their desired champion.
Matt was a Hayley - all faults blatantly ignored by the judges - and he never did learn to skate without being hunched over...., which never seemed to be picked up on.
Beth won because she turned in beautiful performances all the way through and maintained her dignity - exactly as she has done this series.
The British as a nation have a great sense of fair play - and don't like to see unfairness - and the ice panel aren't treating the remaining contestants objectively or fairly. I'm glad to see Chris Dean calling them on their scoring and comments at last - especially pulling up the skaters over their behaviour.
