Is the DS site opening the App Store on your iPad?
Is this a new and annoying form of advertising? When I go to the 'PC and Mac' forum on my iPad the past few times, it immediately opens the App Store to some proxy game.
If so, cut it out DS!

I just use Safari. Normally, I have no problems.
What web blocker do you have? https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/webl...558818638?mt=8 Works across all browsers and some apps, I use chrome on ios, but works fine on Safari. |

Ghostery blocks 7 trackers on the DS site, more than most websites.

I've just had a look at this as I get App store popups while browsing certain sites (Digital Spy included) trouble is Weblock only works over Wifi and not 3g/4g so of limited use on my Iphone and Ipad
There are others, this was only one I use and works well. |

that is because the site is entirely ad supported. it gains all it's revenue that way.
you go to amazon they have tracking. but they also sell stuff. Off topic, but the other irritating thing are the awful NHS ads inserted before videos on DS. Guess what, I'm just going to close DS, go to YouTube and watch the video there! Advertising which encourages people not to use the site is surely counter-productive. |
