There was one here a couple of years ago but it was purchased by ASDA and turned into an ASDA supermarket, a mini version of their big store. It's alright, but Netto had some cracking deals on food and booze.

Any of you have/had a Netto in your neighborhood?

There wasn't a branch very local to me but I did go occasionally to one further afield. Their microwave hotdogs were gorgeous, I do miss them.

We had a Netto in North London ...grubby place with wierd coloured meat in the chiller cabinets , more security than customers who were kept busy by the constant shoplifting ...a very intimidating store with sad faced staff who looked like they didn't want to be there. Now an Asda supermarket and much nicer. There were loads of Netto's in lanzarote all fresh and clean ..are they still there I wonder ?

The one we had wasn't the nicest supermarket I ever visited, to be sure, I know many people who wouldn't be caught dead shopping there, but some of their deals were unbeatable. We never had any trouble with the quality of the food on offer, their meat was fine, as was the cheese and produce. I could often find Mueller corner yogurts on sale there, 6-pack for £1. And humongous bags of potatoes for £2. Great for those on a budget.

There was Netto in Ramsgate that is now an Asda, IMO that's the best thing that could ever of happened to Nasty Netto.

A new Asda opened around the corner from my house a couple of years ago. Before Asda came, there was a Netto a few hundred feet away from where the Asda is now. The Asda bought the Netto, and did nothing with it except to put metal shutters over the windows.

Aldi and Lidl raised their game and left Netto behind. Horrible place.
