How many times do people have to be told Ray had NO ice dancing background AT ALL prior to DOI! He was a dancer and he had done rollerblading like most teenage lads that's all! It really is quite irritating that people keep stating something as a fact which is downright untrue.

Maybe there is some confusion with Chris Fountain who was an experienced ice hockey player before DOI? I appreciate that Ray started at a high level because he took to ice skating very naturally and was naturally talented so his progress may be less obvious to some but just to reiterate Ray had NO ice dancing background AT ALL!
Wasn't he a ballroom dancer as a child and trained to a very high level add in his rollerskating experience it gives him an edge,

I've daewos on my ignore list so I can't see his posts any more but if it's something he's quoting me and saying how wrong I am then bore off. I can support who I want to. I haven't voted this series and doubt I will on Sunday but I'd like Beth to win.

Ray was a junior ballroom dancing champion - but his rollerblading was no more than a hobby.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion and have every right to express it - but regurgitating misinformation isn't the best way to do it.

If the best overall skater/performer wins it will be Ray - but I'll shed no tears if Beth picks up the trophy. I'll vote for both of them to make the final two - but then I probably won't vote. Just leave it to the rest of the GBP to decide.

You are quite correct he was a junior ballroom champion and went rollerblading with his mates - he has always stated that. I was disputing your comment that he had ICE dancing experience which he had not. It could be you just meant DANCING experience in which case that's fair enough! Obviously everyone will support a different finalist if they choose to. I personally find none of them DISlikeable at all - they all seem perfectly pleasant as people. I would like the best skater/performer to win and as Hayley is by far the weakest skater and Beth by far the weakest performer (understandably as she is not trained as a performer) - I think to give the show credibility Ray would have to win. I don't see why personalities have to come into it myself but who knows what the British public will do?

So how come you can point out about the misinformation and not get told to bore off.

I would agree with you about the final two, Ray should win as the best overall but although Beth leaves me cold I would not be upset if she won. (The gloating on here may be bit nauseating though )

Yes,and I am sure I remember Robin saying at one point that if Ray had started skating at young age he would have become one of the top skaters, even Olympic standard.
He is just naturally talented and I hope he wins on Sunday.
I will be glued to the TV that's for sure.
