The fifth series of Big Brother Brazil is currently running - and as you may know if follows a re-working of the US Head of House format.
Every Thursday the housemates compete in the "Test of Leader" to determine the Head of House (or Leader). This person is then immune from eviction.
On Fridays they compete in the "Test of the Angel". The winner of this is also immune.
On Sunday they nominate - and as in the US house they can discuss nominations.
Firstly, the winner of the "Angel" challenge can award one other person immunity.
Then the "Leader" must nominate one person to automatically face eviction.
The other housemates then vote secretly in the diary room for one nominee to determine the second nominee. The Leader only votes to break any tie.
The public then vote to determine who is evicted on Tuesday nights.
They also face regular food and luxury challenges.
Now last year I could easily catch-up with events through the official website ( http://bbb.globo.com ). The news section had an easy to follow Day by Day summary which I translated from Portugese via Babelfish ( http://babelfish.altavista.com/ ).
However, I can't seem to find that this year - all you get is a list of news articles (I say articles - often there a couple of sentences!) - and the encoding of the site means I seem to have to translate each page individually, rather than being able to click through the links.
Here is the news page for day 1: http://bbb.globo.com/BBB5/0,24118,40...1-2005,00.html
Can anyone help with a summary of what's gone on so far - or a link to an unofficial website which is a bit easier to translate (or even in English!).
I'm most interested in the tasks and competitions rather than the relationships between the housemates - especially the Leader and Angel tasks!
Thanks for any help, Brekkie Boy.
