Kindle Paperwhite 2, gesture for changing font size
IvanIV
05-03-2014
I have this Kindle and from time to time when I want to turn a page I manage to open a small popup with font sizes, it changes the size to something bigger and closes again. I tried to do it on purpose, but it never works, it turns a page. It drives me mad, I'd like to avoid it. I did not find anything in documentation either. Does anybody know the gesture or is it just a glitch in software?

Hmm. Not seen that myself, I do know that to turn the page you should keep to the middle sides, and not go to far up or down.

I should have said I swipe from right to the left in the middle or lower part of the screen to turn pages.

It should only happen when you swipe up or down the screen using two fingers.

I only use one finger, are my fingers that fat? But I'll give it a go, thanks.

I tried that, but it works very randomly. But I guess I should avoid a gesture that is not completely horizontal, thanks.

The only time this ever happens is when I am giving the screen a clean. I turn pages by just tapping with my thumb not swiping.

I thought it was more a verticle pinching gesture. Pinch in to reduce font, pinch out to increase font.

That is what it's supposed to be.

Never happens to me by accident., have you got a bad cut on your finger IvanIV which is squelching open when you turn the page.

Oh, I did not get the pinching part, that works quite well, I just tried that. It means my swipe gesture gets misinterpreted somehow for it.

When I mentioned horizontal, I meant page turning gesture, sometimes it's more an arc than a straight line and that's what probably gets confused for a pinch

I know I could just touch the screen in left/right part of the screen, but I find swiping more comfortable.

Thanks for help everybody, I think I got it now. I would have never thought you could use pinch to resize the font size.
