If Hayley and Dan do Jai Ho, they will win.

I was a bit disappointed in Jai Ho tonight. It wasn't anywhere near as good as I remember it.

Same here - I thought it was faster previously and it just lacked as much wow factor as last time.

I've never got the fuss over it, to be honest. Especially tonight, it just proved what a bog standard routine it really is.

Had it been performed in any other series, it would be forgotten soon enough. Hayley was lucky to be in a series without much competition. So many other routines that are much better than it. I didn't like Chloe but her "Kiss Kiss" routine is so much more enjoyable.

Jai Ho is all armography, toe picks and lifts. There's no actual skating content from Hayley. And did Hayley let go of her death grip on Dan even once during their Bolero? I'm not sure she did.

For me, it did'nt stand out against the high standard of skating we've seen this series. It was good but not brilliant.

My husband said "that blokes working really hard" and he never watches the show.

I'm glad Jai Slow didn't win it for Hayley. In fact, I think choosing that number made people realise how little content there was to her mythical showstopper. The right result.

I think the fact that Hayley chose a routine from her previous series when both Beth and Ray chose one from this showed that she's not really progressed from the previous series - also presumably it would be a routine they'd practiced each week incase they were in the skate off but it just didn't look as good as I'd remembered.

I agree with the other poster, I was seriously underwhelmed by that routine last night.

I liked it first time around but seeing it again last night really highlighted how little technical ability and skating skills there actually were in it.

Personally I think she'd have been better doing the Charlston routine from this year. But Jai Ho has sort of become iconic and I think Hayley was itching to do it again.

The first time it had an electrifying affect and she was probably hoping to recapture that - but seeing it after so long, the first impact has worn off and we saw it for the routine it is.

It was I think a mistake to have skated Jai Ho in the finals, it actually had nowhere near the impact in my mind that it had the first time, even as a non Hayley fan I was impressed with it's first outing. I actually didn't like it much it was all a bit clunky especially the end and like someone else said actually went to show how little she has progressed. She might well have been better to have chosen a more recent performance like Patti-Ann suggested the Charlston.

That's my feeling too, her spin was great (one of her best), but that was it really. I think her Charleston routine from this series would have been a better choice. It still had the spin, but it also had more skating, more speed and worked much better for me.

It had been built up so much all series, tbh, it would never have lived up to that hype, unless they drastically changed it. If they had added to it, it might have had more WOW impact again.

I saw that the spins werent synchronised - maybe thats what he meant - but considering beth lost 0.5 from jason for lack of synchronicity - he should have done the same to his darling hayley.........

I didn't notice this, so it still looked good to me but I think I would rather have seen the Charleston again. It was faster with better moves.

She stumbled a bit coming out of a move just after the spins, seemed to trip over her feet a bit and had to grab Dan for support. It was very quick, but it was there, and I thought there was also a misstep in the step sequence.

I wanted Ray and Hayley in the final from the start because they could entertain me.

I didn't see all the jazz hands and gurning that a lot of people saw in Hayley. Maybe Beth was technically a better skater, but that didn't bother me because Hayley could skate well enough to pull off a good performance.

Like Ray, Hayley is a performer and I thought Hayely could win, especially if she did Jai Ho!

As a Ray fan I'm glad she didn't, but I wouldn't have begrudged her if she did.

Hi Buddy - fact is (imo) Ray is a skater and performer - Hayley nothing more than a performer. Ray's the complete package; Hayley a half package; Beth 75% of the package.

They take one of their routines on tour with them. I can't see Hayley doing Jai Ho again so she might do the Charlston there?

They have a scored routine (from the series) and a showcase routine which I think is a new one (if I remember right)

No they take TWO routines from their series - in Rays year he took Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now and Rock Around the Clock. One is scored on tour and the other is danced in the second half of the show. Sometimes they alternate which routine gets marked by the judges. They do not take a new routine at all.

Thanks, I often miss these things!

I thought Hayley's spins looked good, but I noticed she spots, which I gather is discouraged in ice skating as you are going so fast the it interupts the flow of the spin...

I did enjoy seeing this routine again, but glad she didn't win as Ray can perform at least as well as Hayley with a lot more skating difficulty.
