1.5M WW. Wow so it wasn't a total flop after all. I think that it has some good songs on there but the production especially on her vocals really were disappointing. Her voice was so dry in the mix.

People realised that she was awful.

Distant Dreamer?? Never heard that song from Duffy. Stepping Stone was great though, really emotional.

Diet Coke had nothing to do with it. Good for her. Take the money while you can. She'd regret not doing it now if she hadn't.

Duffy did not much wrong. She's in the long line of the artists who have a very successful debut in the UK in the main and then the UK get over them and the next record flops...Its happened SO many times...

Joss Stone
Natasha Bedingfield
Jessie J (album 2 DID flop, album 3 only did well as she took credit for Bang Bang)
Daniel Bedingfield
Ms Dynamite
Pixie Lott
Mika
Alexandra Burke
Lady Gaga

Need i say more!?

Horseshit. It destroyed any credibility she had.

I really hope you are not a Bond fan. That would have been an utterly TERRIBLE Bond song.

She was in the same vein as a lot of other throwback to the 60's type artists that flooded the airwaves and I guess where Adele and Amy Winehouse succeeded, she failed.

Too similar I think.

She kind of lost her voice shortly after Rockferry. Suddenly she was nothing but screechy, where her vocals were brilliant on that record.

Just listen to Well, Well, Well... how long can you keep it playing without wanting her to shutup? xD

It wouldn't have been any worse than some of the tripe that has been a Bond theme in the past twenty years!

I listened to her the other night, Rockferry is a lovely album, its not normally the type of music i listen to, but every now and again i like to put it on, she was brilliant, i still cant bare her follow up album, i find it excruciating to listen to.

I remember seeing her on a BBC special, where she sang live, which was a ghastly mistake. Without the heavy studio wall of sound effect, her voice wasn't anywhere near as good. Very ordinary, in fact. Add that to a poor follow up album, and it's someone else's turn to get a bite of the cherry. I believe she's now running a welk stall, next to David Van Day's burger van.

I removed Jesse J and Gaga as they are still current, and haven't disapeared, and Gaga is writing a new album inbetween sell out tours so shes still current. But the others I agree with. Mika however is writing a 4th album and is a judge on X Factor Italy. who knew?

I'd add to the list
Stacey Orrico
Dina carrol
Tina Arena
Leon Jackson
Joe Mceldry
Celine Dion
Vengaboys
Ting Tings
the guys who sang fascanation
etc.. many of whom still make music others simply vanished.

even huge acts like spice girls - geri and Mel B;s last couple of singles got no media exposure

They aren't flops - the media machine simply left them all behind in favour of Beiber and Bruno etc,,

Vengaboys still make good tunes
