I created this recipe to make a pizza feast but for only around £10.

Let me know what you think!

Here is how to create your very own Takeaway Pizza meal from scratch, Pizzas, Dough balls, Mozzarella Sticks and Chicken Goujons! http://www.latoyah.co.uk/2014/03/rec...zza-feast.html

You made all that for two?

Blooming 'eck, one of those pizzas and a side of salad (which would have made the meal 100x more appetising) would been enough for two of us. Yeah right you had enough left over for lunch, you used three chicken breasts for two people... and on top of everything else.

That's just pure gluttony. No wonder we are a nation of fatties.

Jesus... Calm down! It made enough to do our dinner and lunch the next day, so plenty to go around. You don't HAVE to make the whole lot!

You're a rude and condescending little person aren't you?

Clearly you've never wanted to enjoy a banquet, buffet or other feast.. the very idea is gluttony; that's why it's enjoyable.

You don't eat takeaway style pizza for functional nutrition.

Whatever Hypno.

I am sure my honest opinion directed more traffic to the crap-food blog the OP is advertising than if I hadn't commented at all.

As you were and back to gorging.

Thank you! It is a treat, and still probable healthier than a Domino's or pizza hut.

Crap food blog? That's your opinion, and you're entitled to it.

She didn't make it for you, you fool.

And how do you even know she's fat?

This is typically the sort of meal I would order from Dominos, and shock horror without any salad, and I'm not fat

Lean people with clogged up arteries die all the time. And you think I am the fool?

But really, the sheer quantity for two people is disgusting. If this photo was from Man vs Food or similar, you wouldn't find anything I said here particularly wrong and I did hesitate to comment on sugar's dine-in for two, but she has commercial ads on her site and is promoting it here for free, so I feel it is fair to comment negatively. Anything less would be irresponsible.

Let me know what you think!
This isn't an appreciation only thread, right?

Of course its not an appreciation thread and you are entitled to disagree, air your views and comments, but don't you think you could try (just a little bit) to be more tactful and less rude in getting your point of view across?

Nothing wrong with a bit of gluttony once in a while.

Agreed! Not like this is what I eat every day, and it also fed us for pretty much the whole weekend! But I don't have to justify it to anyone, we enjoyed it

Thanks sugar! I make our pizzas from scratch these days (we like thin crust) but will def try the mozz sticks and chicken strips! nom nom

And to Smokeychan - nothing wrong with constructive criticism or perhaps suggesting recipe tweaks but plain trolling to get a rise out of people is against the forum rules. As sugar said, that venture lasted them 3 meals, cheaper and better for them than just 1 takeaway.

People should be applauded for cooking from scratch rather than buying from fast food chains.

Thank you sugar for posting that link.

You are welcome! Takeaway food nowadays is packed with MSG, My bread did rise a lot more than I expected, so next time I make it I will definitely roll it out a lot thinner to prevent quite such a think crust.

^^ There's nothing wrong with MSG. The Chinese Restaurant syndrome is just a myth.

Other than that, it looks great and your blog is lovely!

I don't think it would taste the same, you would need a commercial oven and the flavourings they use

After reading the blog entry it's not to replicate the Domino's pizza taste but the meal deal as a whole that a couple/family may purchace on a weekend.

Looks pretty nice actually, the crust maybe a bit big but you said you knew what you did wrong. I paid a ridiculous price for a pizza hut last night in London, but it was right opposite the theatre so convenient.

Erm, you specifically said: 'No wonder we are a nation of fatties', well not all of us who enjoy a Dominos or similar once in a while are fat, and not all of us have high cholesterol either.

Just because the OP has posted a recipe for pizza it doesn't actually mean she eats it every day or is the size of a house, but even if she did/was - so what? It's not really relevant to the blog or this thread, is it?

Do you think only healthy recipes/food pics should be posted online?

Don't look at the Food Picture Thread or similar or you'll have a fit!
