I presumed it must have been what he looked like in that photo that made you choose him as it couldn't possibly have been his acting ability, of which he has none. Is there a casting the Doctor/Master app which just brings up pictures of Eddie Izzard, Alan Rickman and Stephen Fry, etc?

William Roache has been acting for over 50 years, doesn't make him any good.

What does that prove? Vinnie Jones has 82. The words straws and clutching spring to mind.

Yes I'm clutching at straws. Let's end this conversation now. I clearly don't know what I'm talking about. Thanks for making it easy for me to see that

Yes, you're clearly barking. After all, it's not as if he's played an unhinged scheming mastermind before, with great success, in, say, a highly regarded US TV show like Hannibal...

He wouldn't be my first choice for The Master, but he'd surely be a good one if he was picked.

Changing the subject just a little, I wonder if they'd consider having The Master regenerate into a woman? It would pave the way for a Doctor gender change in the future, if they wanted to go down that path, and also allow a Rani-esque antagonist without all those legal problems that using the character would involve...

Personally, I think it'd be a terrible idea.

Wouldn't a woman master just basically be the rani?
