In skate off last week so this week he gets his shirt off, hoping to win votes that way. Boring

How predictable that you should start a negative thread on final night. Such a shame, his performance was brilliant. Just enjoy the show.

Yes top was off which I did not like but technically perfection. We should judge on the routine not outfits!

Cos his performance is so bad, he needs to distract you from it .....NOT. He wasn't lifted through the show, he skated it and skated it brilliantly as always

Music and choreography is chosen by T & D.

So for a song about surfing, you dress for the beach

Well apart from the socks and the skates...

I think the flying was both Ray and Sam's undoing last week. Hence both found themselves in the skate off. Surfing song, so shirt off this week, worked ok! for me.

I found that first routine crass, I have said all series he' s been sold short with some of the routines and that was one. Fortunately the flamenco and Bolero more than made up for it.

The point, for the umpteenth time, is that some routines undersold Ray' s ability. And that was one.
Sliding over the ice on a surfboard was a waste of skating prowess. Shirtless or otherwise.

It's a show routine, it didn't matter, it was supposed to be fun and it was. The other 2 routines were the same, just fun.

It's a matter of personal preference I wanted to see him skate as much and as well in all three routines as he did in the second two. My criticism is of the routines and not him.

Now you mention it, it was the sort of prop they would give to Todd, so save him having to skate.

I know, and just such a waste of Ray's ability. I have been a bit grouchy about it, but out of the best intentions and not to criticise the lad, who I think has done a fabulous job.

Don't get me wrong, I can see why people might have been entertained by it.

I didn't mind a bit of fun, and the speed on the board and his smoothness on it (and getting off it) was a bit of a wow factor for me...he still skated more in his routine than Beth or Hayley did and had two more routines in which he could showcase his skating performances. I get where you're coming from though, knowing what hes capable of, you just want him to show it off. I had wanted him to do Bailamos in the final - for me, its his best and its just mesmorising what he can do in it - that routine has it all. But I wasn't disappointed in the slightest with what he produced on Sunday, all were amazing. I think we can both agree, that even if the routine isn't our favourite one of his, he still owns it and performs it brilliantly anyway.

If he does something like that on tour I am sure it will go down a storm.

I don't think they will do the showcase routine on tour as it involves the other pro's. They usually do two routines as a couple.

I'm hoping he'll do the Flamenco routine and the one he and Maria choreographed (which would look amazing on the bigger rink)

Well ALL the females have been skating round in skimpy dresses every week.

So if they can sell sex, why shouldn't the men do it as well?

Beth did acrobatics as that is her asset.

If you've got it, flaunt it!

I'm going to see it, and it would be a dream to see Bailamos live...

...but I know thats not going to happen I'd like to see the Flamenco routine too and Let Her Go (I appreciated his dancing in Let Her Go much more on the second viewing - so artistic and graceful)
Legohouse would be a close second.
