Was very noticeable. I suppose I can see why she didn't but being gracious always makes you the bigger person.

She thanked the people who helped her like Chris , Jayne and her partner, the people who mattered., i mean why would she thank Ashley and co?

I would've told them where to stick their scores way before now. They've done nothing but throw negativity at her for the past two years. She's handled it much better than I ever would have.

Don't blame her ..she has had some stick ...the people who get praised for their performances are actors/actresses... She is a gymnast ...

Exactly. The judges should get no credit. They have been nasty to her, in particular Jason.

I think she was very disappointed not to be ithe last two!!! It must be a bit overwhelming to have to thank various people etc when you are rather shattered that you have not got through. Difficult to remember everyone. I thought she was gracious during a difficult moment. She must be so disappointed especially after the praise she got tonight from the judges. I think Ray will win, if the exceptiuonal praise from the juding panel has not turned the GBP off him!

Did she thank whoever gave her that awful, no-skating routine that ensured she didn't make the final two?

Selfish - really?

Why the hell should she thank them - it was they who were ungracious last year when all four failed to stand, applaud and congratulate her on her win.

As for being the bigger person - don't make me laugh - they've given her nothing but grief for the last two years.

Was Robin the bigger person when he tweeted (after she won) that he still thought Matt should been the winner.

Why would she? They were nothing but rude to her and iirc she thanked them last year? (Willing to be corrected on that)

I' d have aimed that at the detractors myself, not Beth.

It' s not like she gave them some verbal, she kept it shut, IMO that' s graceful enough.

I can understand her doing it - they under mark her all series, then give her 10's in the final as if to say 'You see, we've supported you all along'...

Can't say it was noticeable at all, even after you having to point it out to me.

Just what exactly did the judges do for any of them that deserved thanks?

It wasn't in the least bit noticeable. I, for one, didn't notice. She thanked the people she was closest to on the show - T&D, her partner etc. Unless there is an autocue for situations like this, it is understandable when put on the spot like that not to remember everyone but she didn't have a personal relationship or connection with the judges so why should she thank them.

Compared to the judges, Beth was the epitome of graciousness and polite behaviour.

I didn't notice it either. The first I knew about it was reading it on here. I too think that she probably forgot to mention everyone. I don't think she'd deliberately choose to leave out the judges. She doesn't seem to be the type of person to do that. She's very graceful and dignified in what she says and does.

She should be grateful she made the show at all....and coming third is nothing to be embarrassed about. ...her 1st routine was a mess.....more folks involved than Hayleys routine. And I thought Hayley was the one who couldn't skate! !!

Robin and others are entitled to their own opinions....plenty of opinions going around on this forum lately.....and yet the favourite girl of the series only came 3rd and didn't beat the 'performer' who had the polls bar DS putting her in 2nd place! !!!

I think Beth came across as very polite and charming. In fact, I think all three contestants did.

So why is Beth the only one getting criticised for not thanking them ?

She isn't. The OP is about the only person on here who even noticed.

Why should she be grateful? She made the final 3 on merit.
Who said she was embarrassed?
She didn't choreograph her own routine.
Hayley can't skate - Beth had nothing to prove when it came to skating - she's been doing it all series.
Funny how Robin and others suddenly found perfection in Beth after the rollicking from Chris last week.
