Samsung's Terrible Tablet Software

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and since purchase it has been giving problems of running slow, apps and features not running correctly and it was even sent back to Samsung who said that they couldn't find a problem with it. So, I decided to root it, after all, my experience with it couldn't get much worse...

I can't believe it... Now that there isn't any Samsung bloatware on it, it runs nice and quick, has not given me a single error or crash and best of all, I can now fully customise it to look/run how I want. Samsung, you have some God-awful software on your system! For shame!

My Tab 2 was running without any problems TBH but I rooted and flashed mine a few months ago because I was pee’d off with the Samsung bloat that they insist on updating every five minutes. OK a bit of a tongue in cheek remark but it does get on my nerves having updates for thing I don’t use and cannot un-install.

The other thing that did my nut in was me accidently setting of the Google search when playing games.

I’ve got a nice Tab 2 now and more importantly it’s just the way I like it.
This is the simple process I followed should anybody want it.

After rooting a search for “Cyanogenmod + Samsung Tab 2 10.1” should point you in the right direction for XDA and instructions for flashing the ROM should you need one.

TouchWiz is one of the main things which puts me off getting a Samsung tablet. That and the price!

Oh how I wish Google would get on with it and release an update of the Nexus 10.
