BBC1 Rugby recording only started when match kicked off

I set my 9200T to series-record all the 6 Nations rugby matches. All programmes recorded OK, but the England-Wales match on Sunday 9 March recording only started at the kickoff, and not 30 minutes earlier as I would have expected. The other matches started when the programme started about 30 minutes before kickoff.

Was this just a case of BBC getting its start signal wrong?

Probably just a cock-up with the Start signal as you say.

Mind you, you didn't exactly miss much in the preceding half hour, except the singing of the anthem maybe...

Wonder if they sent two? One at the programme start and one at the match start? Or got HD right and SD wrong (as the OP has a 9200 so won't have been recording the HD stream)?

Or depended on the transmitter.

Thanks. It may well be transmitter related - I am on Mendip.

I am not worried about missing the (often mindless) banter in the previous half hour, but if I select a programme to record, I expect it to start when the programme starts, not some time later.

BBC also seemed to mess up the "series" link as it stopped setting the programmes to record half way through the series, and I had to choose them again. I have come to expect that on C5, but not on BBC!

Again, my Series Link continued across both the off weekends.
