I have just sold mine as it wasn't used enough. lots of the syrups taste horrible and most are ( ugh) sugar free. I was using it to fizz up water to add high juice to.
If you drink a lot of cheapy sugar free fizzy drinks then it is for you, but I am not sure that it works out any cheaper as the syrup is expensive and the refills are also a bit dear. |

I make a lot of fizzy water, not having bought in to the anti tap water crap but I do like it fizzy
on the point of soda stream syrup, why use that? it's crap and sugary, use a supermarket cordial as I do, elderberry is very nice mix the fizzy water and cordial in a glass, then you can have whatever flavour you want without the taste of the previous fizzy pop you made tainting the new one |

I use mine to make soda water. Got the new type when the supply of the old type CO2 cannisters became scarce.
Much easier to get a refill of the cartridge than lug heavy bottles of soda water home from the supermarket. |

The gas cylinders were dear. It's a shame they stopped doing Iron Bru, Vimto, Tizer etc. |

I used to love our Soda Stream in the 80's. I remember we used to trade in our empty canisters for a full one and get our syrups at Fine Fare! They seemed to have the biggest variety in our area.
Some of the syrups were an awesome sugar fest! Intergalactic Space Juice was a bright blue concoction. Witches brew was green and there was a red one called vampires/dracula's blood, all done in the glass bottles with the white caps. |

Got a new Soda Stream a few years ago, we did use to make fizzy drinks with the syrup but now use mostly to fizz up drinks that have gone flat, that are supposed to be fizzy. After you are half way through a big bottle of say coke or whatever it always goes flat so we use it to fizz that up again. That and of course have tried to make the "champagne" aka white wine fizzed up to resemble champagne….. works a treat
