when you make scrambled egg...
How many eggs do you use? I've started using 4. A friend who goes to the gym has 6. I think most people have 2. If I buy a 6 pack I'll have them 2 x 3 egg scrambled egg though as having 4 and leaving 2 seems silly.

I'd use 3, for two slices of toast.

It'd depend how hungry I was.
One for breakfast, two for lunch, three for dinner - generally speaking

I tend to just fry my eggs in butter but if I have the scrambled I normally go for between 3 and 6 depending on how much time I have to eat them. I try to make sure I have somewhere between 4-10 eggs per day.

A box of six holds many tricks, don't just scramble them...an egg produces wonders when added to.

![]() Is this some obsessive body building regime, or do you just really want high cholesterol and obesity?

'Between 4 and 10'? That's a bit of an odd and variable range
![]() Is this some obsessive body building regime, or do you just really want high cholesterol and obesity? ![]() (Well, for a few people they do actually, but not most of us.)The real issue was the saturated fat they were often cooked in - so poached, scrambled, boiled etc don't have a recommended limit any more. But it's still advised to keep the fried eggs to a minimum. |

Yeah but come on, ten eggs a day is excessive.
To be fair, everyone I know who eats that many eggs are into weights and you couldn't pinch an inch. |

I am sure 6 eggs per day, scrambled or swallowed whole would be 'BOUND' to cause problems....eventually.

I work out almost every day but I wouldn't really call it obsessive, I do it because I enjoy it. As for the high cholesterol thing, I don't really give it a second thought and as for obesity, I'm 12% body fat, which is below average.
I like to work out too, but I like variety in my food. I'd rather eat say, sushi for lunch and a curry for dinner than all those eggs, day in, day out. |

3 average size eggs would suffice.

Excessive or not, it won't harm their cholesterol so long as they're cooked without fat, and won't make them obese if it's in their calorie allowance.
To be fair, everyone I know who eats that many eggs are into weights and you couldn't pinch an inch. I'm not sure what these body builders think ten eggs a day is going to do. The body does not need that much protein, even if you are working out. I'd rather eat what I like, I love different varieties of food. I think it's just best to eat a balanced diet. All these obsessive fads are kind of crazy to me. Notice how nutritionists seem to change their minds fairly often on what is healthy and what isn't. Fat is bad one minute, but ok the next, fish oils are good, fish oils are bad, vitamin tablets work, vitamin tablets don't work, carbs are bad, carb are ok, protein is bad, protein is ok... etc.. I eat what I like. I'm thin, healthy and I don't worry about it. I must be doing something right

Yeah I know, I had a mate like that. All he ever used to eat was chicken and rice, and he used to lecture me all the time about what I was eating. It was really tedious.

So you know, high protein levels don't only support people who want to build a lot of muscle, it's good for those who want to keep it too. |

I don't want to build a lot of muscle. I think it looks ridiculous I'd rather be fitter, I'm fine with the muscle I have. I've never dieted. My biggest vice is I like a few beers, but other than that, I think I've always eaten pretty well. I pretty much eat whatever I like, but I've never been one for pies I'd prefer fish and vegetables, or a curry. Oddly enough, I've been leaning a lot towards vegetarian recently. My gf is veggie and sort of got me into it. I still like a steak now and again, but I do really like a vegetable stir fry too. Ten eggs a day? No thanks! I get bored too easily! |

I get bored too easily! at now given that I'm very much a carnivore at the moment! My fella's been veggie since we met though, so I have quite a lot of meat free days still.I managed to put on weight when I was veggie as I took my cheese adoration to a whole new level, felt compelled to cook most of my veg in butter or dripping, and carbed so much! I'm happier with meat in my diet, definitely!

I'd use 3, for two slices of toast.
