Lady Gaga - Has She Lost The Plot?
https://uk.celebrity.yahoo.com/gossi...7554.html?vp=1
She's always been "out there", granted, but I think she's really lost her marbles as far as her performances and "persona" goes. Since the Born This Way era I have found her to be one huge turn off with the wacky antics. I think the meat dress was when I first started going off her and now with stunts like this, and her recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon I think she's totally lost whatever likeability and intrigue she once had. I used to be such a huge fan in the Fame era and I find it disappointing and sad she has gone further and further down such a trashy and unpleasant route. I miss the Lady Gaga who showed real talent and vulnerability, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQRuYS_h-Vs |

In a word, yes. Then again I was never too keen on her in the first place. The whole "she's the new Madonna, she's better than Madonna" thing just made me laugh. Madonna's a superstar, unrivaled by any other female in my opinion. It's like comparing One Direction to The Beatles.
So in answer to your question, yes. But it was only a matter of time before the bubble burst. I've a feeling this "antic" may just be a step too far. |

I've just read the article on her key note speech at SXSW and it sounds like she's just used it as an excuse to 'get back at the critics'. She really sounds bitter about the underperformance of ARTPOP. She should just face facts and move on as it's doing her no favours to blame others when it's partly her fault.

No, she is detouring from what is expected of her.
- the reactions like these already posted were exactly what she was probably expecting. |

Just imagine all the Little Monsters who're gonna be throwing up in Mother Monster's honour now. Oh yeah, making yourself sick.... cool move.

OMG I wish I hadn't watched that clip now. Its just, well... sick! wtf
She is sailing very close to the wind in her attention seeking now if you ask me. This could be the straw that breaks the camels back. |

I think she has lost the plot. She was brilliant back in the Fame era and she is talented and can sing (watch videos on Youtube of her playing the piano) so it's a shame she has to resort to trashy antics like this. I'd expect this kind of thing from the likes of Miley Cyrus. I've started to go off her.

This will alienate casuals further at a time she desperately needs to woo them. It'll only compound the opinions of her as kooky & not in a cute way.

I made a mistake in my original post - it was on Jimmy Kimmel where Gaga was bizarre (even by her standards), not Jimmy Fallon. For anyone wanting to go and watch.

When you get her supporters saying that she's amazing because she's doing art, I can't help thinking of that TV series from a few years ago called Nathan Barley.

That Yahoo video made me cringe
![]() Doesn't she have any family to ask her why she behaves like this because this isn't "Art". The girl vomiting on her is REALLY WEIRD because any sane person doesn't do stuff like that. I guess they're both weird. |

Having people vomit on you on stage? Oh dear, how absolutely ridiculous. An embarrassing cry for attention, or is this 'art'? *rolleyes*
Bore off Gaga. Go away and wake me up when your back with some decent tunes. |

It comes across to me as though she's getting a bit desperate now.

That's gross, but she still has great music and bags of talent so I guess as long as I remain happy with her musical output then I'm fine with her. Lot's didn't but I thoroughly enjoyed Artpop.

She was showing the disgust of rape and bulimia. Apparently.

It's the same old with Gaga rethreading old ground and trying desperately to be controversial and artistic, Ozzy Biting the head off a chicken, Gaga vomits. And what I find most annoying is it is all so highly calculated that it's like Gaga please just stop just do one.
It's like she is doing herself no favours, her music is average at best, and her antics make her look increasingly more desperate. If she wants to haul back any shred of mass popularity, not the way to do it, nor will it garner her the critical acclaim she craves. |
