My girlfriend is only about 6 months throuh her 3 contract but her phone keeps losing a signal even though it shows it may have a full signal, i keep telling her to go to a 3 store and demand a new phone as surely there is a manufacturers warranty and 3 have provided her with a good not upto the task it was purchased for.

i said i will go to the store this weekend and kindly (well maybe not) ask for a phone that does the task it was purchased for. are we in our rights to do this?

i dont think its a network problem as the symptoms are that the phone switches off, it freezes when trying to change network manually, and some other things.

i think that you are in your rights. The phone should keep working as long as you havent inflicted physical damage on it. (not saying you have) I would definately take it back and complain. If they offer it to be taken away to be repaired, let them as they are in their rights to do this. if it still doesnt work after, demand a new phone (if you are lucky they might give you a new one straight away.)
Hope i helped.

my girlfriends phone is the U8180, it has not been mis-used, its been looked after very well so it cant be damaged through mis-use.

will this phone get a replaced? surely you cant offer a refurb phone if you are still in the 1st 12 months of the contract, after all you sign up to a network contract with a phone (you picked and is brand new). so how can you then give a refurbed phone in that 1st 12 months? its like sky, you will not, or should not, get a refurbed digibox within the 1st 12 months of your contract, if it needs replacing

this is 3 we're talking about

I get calls of people who have had there phone for 2 months and all we offer is a refurbished handset and sometimes the refurbished handset is faulty

To be honest its not really the fault of 3, its LG. They really need to sort out there handsets as its causing chaos

indian and what do you expect from a company that revolves around the number three(three day repair + 3 repairs then replace) so you should expect a 3rd class service from a 3rd world country lol adopted that from a flash animation

doubt it if posabile you could demand that you have the phone replaced just call 333 and ask for a supervisor and they will arrange it for you i had similar problems and no repair could fix it so cos i was on my second handset in 4months i demanded a handset of a different model eventualy i got my way and iff three dont do as promised i was advised by my 3 store to take legal action. i would recomend to you that you 1st talk to three about the problem if there solution is not to your satifaction rant and rave if that dont work(youl need to saound real pissed off) you go and seek legal advice

Yeah i'm english

The repair booking service which i work for is based in Liverpool, the main customer service department is in Mumbai (i spelt that wrong)

Don't bother asking to speak to a supervisor in India, they'll keep you on hold for an average of half an hour then cut you of, they are known for it

The number put down for Glsgow customer services is setup for dealers but its a much better shot than dialing customer services in India
