There was one I think. The Behind The Scenes on The Time Of the Doctor certainly implied it I think.

The Tennant one is utterly cringeworthy. I get that it was a bit of fun for everyone involved, but I really wish it had stayed private. It's a real "You had to be there" thing.

Insufferably self indulgent. Which was of course their right! Who wouldn't be after all the success against the odds they all had in particular RTD and the production team (after all. It was there victory lap as much as Tennants). But yes. Best saved for the production team to enjoy in private and not subject the rest of us to it. Same goes for that 'Ballad of Russell and Julie' one. Urgh. Its like viewing another company's motivational office away day film.

The further away it becomes I really do think it all got a little bit silly when Tennant left didn't it?

I love it! It makes me smile every time I see it, especially the dancing Ood and the cook on the "drums".

Saw this sometime ago. Fair play to them, Tennant is a big Proclaimers fan so let them have fun

hadn't seen this before, but love it. good bit of fun, for us as much as them. Show's that everyone involved in the production at that time was up for a laugh and I for one am glad they chose to share it.

Nah, they bought Matt a card, then told him to do one.

Really like those Tennant things. Yeah, massively self indulgent but so what? They feature Ms Tate, all the 'backroom' people and a Proclaimers song. What's not to like?

Imagine if there wasn't a wrap party for Matt and he was a bit jealous that Tennant got better treatment, then he see's this thread, thinking that some have sympathy for him, only to find when he clicks on it, that we've all started talking about tennant and his great wrap party

Well, knowing tinternet, it would just descend into a David Tennants Wrap Party v Matt Smiths non Wrap Party thread.

Edit. Just to clarify, of course Matt had a wrap party. Me invite got lost in the post, sadly.

Aww fantastic to see this again. Makes me smile on this beautiful day. Loved the Ballad of Russell and Julie too . Just shows what a happy crew they were at the time

Given all the reported tensions at the time, they probably all had a party after he'd left.

I would just like to point out that it looks like most of this was filmed at various points during filming, despite the misleading title. But yes, I'd imagine they had a party at the end of every series, not just when a Doctor left.

Exactly. I don't quite think the wrap party involved miming to the proclaimers. What a crap party that would be. And this video and the other weren't just for Tennant. It was a tribute and farewell to everyone who worked on the RTD era, many of whom were leaving.

I heard that security made him pick up his bowtie and he was escorted to the front gate by a couple of goons. He wasn't even allowed to visit his dressing room to collect his things.

Supposedly, the security guards asked him where in Hollywood he wanted his stuff sent to. It was all a bit fraught I'm afraid.

Oh, I saw that Tennent wrap party. There was an earlier version that was posted on YouTube but they pulled it. In the earlier one, he gets very drunk and he visits every single cameraman, lighting engineer and director to serve during his tenure and blubs his eyes out at them and sobs about how he dosen't want to leave and how it isn't fair.

Probably a good thing it was yanked really. The bit where he turns up at Euros Lyn's house at 3.00 in the morning and he calls the police is particularly distressing.
