DOTD 10 is refered to as the man who regrets 11 the man who forgets. So what shall we call 12 ? . I'd like to call him the man who surprises. Just when we think we know him and have got him figured out. Something happens to make him say or do the unexpected. It will keep the new series interesting for his companions and the fans.

There's not any possible way of knowing until he's been on for a few episodes...

Given his appearance they could affectionately call him 'grandfather'. Oh wait.....

P.s those mentioned weren't nicknames, they were just descriptions of them based on one particular situation.

You want to see informed opinions on a Digital Spy thread? Surely the protocol is to spout what you reckon while using as few facts as possible?

No! you don't use as few facts as possible- you just make up a rumour or something to get a discussion going.

Or the other recent classic which is to pose The Unanswerable Question...

will the doctor eat a sandwich in episode 7?

should Danny Pink be the Master?

Is Keeley Hawes the Rani?

etc.

Which then get recycled and rephrased as statements of fact:

I hear the Doctor will eat a sandwich in episode 7.

I hear Danny Pink will be the Master.

I hear Keeley Hawes will be the Rani.

It's the circle of bullshit.

Perhaps his "thing" will be the friendly offer of a bag of heavily-salted, deep-fried, battered heroin?

Have to admit this is one of Elton Johns better songs.......

How about we just call him....... The Doctor. No more glib one-liners and throw-away phrases trying to wow the audience in the absence of a good, solid story.
