Good actors who play annoying characters
Stephanie Davis is an obvious one she is a fantastic actress but plays Sinead who can get very annoying however I do like Sinead at times and her upcoming sl is going to be heartbreaking.
Also Jennifer Metcalfe who plays Mercedes at times I love Mercedes and other times she's so annoying but Jennifer Metcalfe is great. |

I don't think it is the case of the characters being annoying, it is the problem of just bad writing and direction for the characters.

Laurel Potts in Emmerdale. Charlotte was great in the baby Daniel storyline, she's clearly good but they have written her characters shockingly bad since then.

Linda Henry is a brilliant actress but Shirley is one of the most annoying characters in EastEnders atm.

Contrary to belief alot of actors share many traits as their characters, hence why they fit the role so good. Stephanie Davis (who i know fairly well) is very similar in real life to her character.
There's a film called Fish Tank, and the main actress in that was spotted outside a trains station by a manager who was arguing with her bf and he thought she'd be an ideal fit for the character, so that's an example of how similar actors and characters are in general. Of course it doesn't always work this way. The guy who plays Phil Mitchell is a softie in real life, and so is Samantha Janus (Ronnie), but a lot of characters have part of their real life selves in their film. |

Lesley Dunlop - brilliant actress. Brenda - yawningly dull and tedious character.

I personally don't find the character annoying, but I think a lot of people would say Ann Mitchell as Cora Cross.

That's what i normally dislike about some actors. They play characters too alike to who they are. It isn't really acting is it. It's just reading lines from paper and remembering them. I have to give June brown a lot of credit. She is nothing like Dot at all. They only thing in common is that they smoke a lot. But from what i have seen in interviews, she is a million miles away from Dot.

In what way do you mean she is the same? The nasty and selfish traits that Sinead has? Stephanie didn't come across that way when she was on that BBC Talent show but of course people try and come across the best in those shows to win.
Are you friends with her as you say you know her fairly well? And if so, why are you friends with her? I wouldn't want Sinead in my life! And if she's like Sinead in real life then she must be an utter bitch. |
