It will get the fingerprint sensor currently in the iPhone 5S. Upgraded camera too perhaps.
Don't see how much more they can do with a large slab of screen.

Yeah they can do the bog standard internals upgrade but not much they can do for noticeable improvement of the user experience through hardware improvements.
