There are people who seem to have insider knowledge who *have* posted they are in the other thread...

Not at network level. The two who usually do, have not confirmed this.
Considering a regional Sales manager for Voda hasn't been briefed but a CPW sales person is talking about it tends to suggest it's not on yet..

Made a few calls since and quality seems improved but not wow improved. Maybe its not enabled.

Disappointing if it hasn't as once again it would show they don't care about there UK network as a lot of other Vodafone networks have now think only other main ones which don't is Vodafone Italy and Spain.

I've not seen (or rather heard it) but it is coming as they said Spring would provide HD voice "everywhere" in their controlled European footprint. As it's Spring though that could mean anytime by March 2016.

Interesting well Vodafone Turkey [That classes as Europe?], Vodafone Ireland and Vodafone Germany have so far. So quite a few to go if they including there minor networks in that as well. Think both Vodafone Australia and New Zealand have as well.

Yes some had already started deploying it. Turkey fits into AMAP these days, not Europe.

Just had another call from a fellow vodafoner. Starts off on HD and then dropped away.

I've yet to experience HD Voice, but i do tend to find the overall call quality to be very good. The only improvement from my point of view needs to be cross network calls, which tend not to be so good. Oh and some 3G where i live would be nice too lol

I'd imagine much like EE's equipment upgrades ie 2G refresh that call quality has likely improved along side better backhaul.. but is it HD Voice, unlikely.

If they were to turn it on, would that mean O2 also? They would benefit from it the most..

O2 would still have to upgrade the core network to support it independently.

Yep it absolutely requires core network support. No idea as to O2's plans.

I've spoken to two people in Vodafone who've confirmed it's soft launched.

I didn't believe it myself till they said it.

Does it work cross network?
