Media Player
Have an old Sumvision Cyclone 1Tb which only plays avi files which I am struggling to get without subtitles.Can anyone suggest a player that plays a variety of formats ,I have tried converting the files,used myff but degrades the copy so much its almost unwatchable.Have thought of a streaming box nut we take the cyclone(its 12 volt with an adaptor)in caravan so dont always have wifi

I would recommend the WDTV Live media steamer. If you only need the most basic version the older WDTV streamer will do the job, although it is a bit harder to find than the 'live' model.

Thanks I've seen them in Maplins they were on offer I think.Should have bit the bullet then lol

Yes I have a WDTV live media player, I never use it for streaming I just have all my movies on a 2TB hard drive - it plays virtually everything, very pleased with it.

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ol...w=1920&bih=955 I can't remember the exact model number because it's a few years old now but I've never found anything it can't play. 2 USB sockets, ethernet (no WiFi), limited streaming (some US only radio services like Pandora, and YouTube and Facebook access) and a few online services like Accuweather but no Netflix, iPlayer etc. Willing to sell it to a good home if you're interested? |
