That would just make it a typical whodunit which they've very clearly said this storyline isn't going to be.
I doubt they mean 'everyone is a suspect' in a literal sense. The death sounds like it's going to be a complete mystery, initially. The 'everyone is a suspect' line fits in with the idea that there are several things going on that will affect every character/family in the show in some way.
