digifusion FVRT150

Have just purchased the digifusion FVRT150 - all connected up ok and I can get good reception etc - just one problem - overnight and every night it seems to 'crash' and the following is displayed 'oAd' the following morning. To get it working again I have to switch it off at the mains, wait a few minutes and then turn on again. It also doesn't download the listings overnight. Would be very grateful for advice or any ideas??? We are getting someone out to check the aerial.

Check out these threads. Basically what you are experiencing is par for the course. It takes a day or two for the box to settle down and until you get the latest firmware update.

What's homechoice? - this is the Digital Video Recorders section of the forum so it is in the right place isn't it?

has this been moved? that might be where the confusion is coming from..

if you continue to experience this problem until after the weekend and you don't get the update, then your signal strenth may not be good enough.

We had the aerial checked out and our signal is certainly strong enough
Tuner 1 69 - 73 %
Tuner 2 78- 79%

Our software version is 1.7.3

We are still getting this problem of oAd displayed every morning and no response with the remote control until we switch the box off at the mains and then switch back on a few minutes later - also still no download of programmes.

HELP.................... please.............

did your box update the software itself or did it come with 1.7.3

I don't know if it came with the updated software or downloaded itself - how do I find that out?

remember each tuner channel chages with each tv channel. so you may have a strong muxa,b,c but a weak mux d. try putting the pvr on channel 18 or 19 then checking the tuner strength in the set up.

The signal strength I quoted above was on channel 704.

The signal strength on channel 18 is tuner 1 - 71 - 74 % and tuner 2 - 78% , so we know we have a good signal strength.

Any further suggestions please.

Maybe you have a dodgy set, I purchased mine about 3 weeks ago and @ 3am whilst in standby mode the display changed to 'oAd' and then it resets itself and then displays 'epg' for about 20 mins, once finished it then displays the time again.

If I was you I would get that box exchanged for another.

PS.
My box updated to the latest firmware 1.7.3 on the first night without any problems.

My box started with exactly the same faults - had to be power cycled each morning to work. It progressed to losing all recordings and software and started to take ages to act on remote control presses. I returned it Argos and got a new one, no problems with this one...
