Chocolate cake recipe

My work is taking part in Sport Relief and are doing a bake off on Friday. I am wanting to make a chocolate cake that is really chocolatey, and as I am quite competitive, hopefully win. Any ideas or recipes?

This is the most chocolatey cake I've ever made: http://www.davidlebovitz.com/2011/11...-nigel-slater/

And you could ice it with a chocolate ganache make it even more intense.

I stumbled across this recipe by accident several years ago and have made my chocolate cakes this way ever since - be warned - this is extremely chocolatey, fondant like texture, yummy!

200g dark chocolate
200g butter
200g caster sugar (I use half demerera/half caster)
200g ground almonds or mixed nuts
5 eggs
vanilla extract

melt chocolate & butter together, cool then add ground nuts
mix sugar and eggs (4 yolks only and 1 whole) together then add to chocolate mixture with couple drops vanilla extract
beat 4 egg whites until stiff, fold into chocolate mixture, bake on 180c for 45 mins.

Foolproof recipe & method = decadent death-by-chocolate bliss experience!

You should, you won't regret it. In fact I'm sitting at my desk right now tucking into a slice....wedge.....ok brick-sized helping!

Risk your left ventricle closing and do this. Utterly awesome.

Can't beat adding a spoonful of mayonnaise to any chocolate recipe makes it very moist and yummy.

Not really, because of the nuts, it's more like a slightly overcooked chocolate fondant - ok, getting hungry for another slice now!!
