I recently invested in an Android TV stick so that I could basically do pretty much anything I use my Nexus 4 for on my TV. It took some faffing about with initially but I got there in the end. However I continue to have an issue with the TV I want to use it on. Every few minutes the screen goes black and displays the information (e.g. HDMI 2, 720P) in the top-left corner, as if nothing is connected to that port, then after a couple of seconds it will come back on.

I have tried all the resolutions available via the Android settings but the only two I don't get this problem with, namely 576P and 480P, make it near-useless for text display. I have tried two other TV sets without any issue, it's just the Sony Bravia. I have tried a firmware update, a factory reset and switching HDMI ports to no avail.

Could it be that the HDMI slots on my set are knackered? I've had problems with other HDMI devices before but to a lesser degree.

For the record the model of the TV stick is an MK809III and the TV is a KDL-32EX301.
