4way satellite splitter
Hi
Just moved in to a new flat, with one of these fitted in a switch box in the hall. Incoming communal feed to two satellite cables is fed into the switch cabinet, with one incoming feed connected directly to the wiring to my living room. The other incoming satellite feed goes through a 4 way splitter ( BZT 4 way ) and two 'out' cables leave the splitter to wiring labelled 'bedroom 1', with two others going out to the Living room. However, in the living room we only get one incoming feed & when we try to watch one channel while recording another we get a 'clash'. What I want to achieve is two feeds to the living room & one feed to the bedroom 1, so we can watch&record in living room, but just watch sky in the bedroom. Anyone know how these splitters actually work ? I don't really undertstand why its just not splitting the signal between the 4 'out' ports ? Or are they not designed to do that ? Cheers |

Short answer is they don't work. It's down to the way a lnb has to be controlled by a tuner. You can't have two tuners trying to control the same segment of a lnb.

As Graham says, they don't work - that's not what they are for.

Cheers But terrestrial TV/Radio can be split fairly simply so I would be far more inclined to think it's terrestrial signals and one feed is intended to do TV and one for radio in each room. |

you need to run two to sky box, then RF 2 OUT to your bedroom with a magic eye to change channels in bedroom
Use WF100 cable from satcure |
