Help with Co Ax wiring in new house
Hi,
Just recently moved into a new build. 5 rooms have what i call an aerial socket which is wired into the attic. Im trying to wire in an aerial in the attic for our one and only tv to be used in the living room The first problem i faced was that there were 8 co ax cables in the attic! I got a loan of a cable tester and found there were 3 active cables for the one aerial socket in the living room. What do i do here? Do i need to wire in all 3 some way? Can i just wire in one? Thanks for any help. |

Can just wire in one if you like. Means you could - in the future - send the RF output from two other pieces of kit to the living room TV using the second and third coaxial connections. So, if you had (say) a second Sky box somewhere in the house other than in the living room, you could connect its RF2 output to the distributor in the loft, and send this to the living room TV.

I would wire in all 3 because you never know you might decide to put in a TV in one room.

Are all 3 connected to the back of the lounge socket?
If so, I would disconnect two, leave one connected, and connect the top end of that one to the aerial in the attic. |
