Aside from the cpu far better spec for your money

Aldi normally have pretty good value stuff but I would steer clear, that screen res isn't too good.

Aldi have a no questions asked 60 day return policy so buying the tablet to check it out is no problem.

For a quad core it's very good value for money, and the 3 year warranty makes it a safe buy.

As long as the usual Aldi returns policy applies, check it out and see what you think.

As far as the spec goes, the screen res is below average when compared to the more popular brands, but then to some extent you do have to accept that you get what you pay for.

If you are interested, don't dither, because from what I've heard they will have limited stocks, and apparently they were very popular last time round.

If you want a cheap tablet and look at the overall package, I can't see anyone doing better.

Whenever I've checked out Curry's "bargain buys", they've always been out of stock, so if you are thinking of going there for an alternative, make sure Curry's have the items in stock before deciding against the Aldi bargain buy.

If I was on a budget, I think this would be, as another poster said, a safe bet. A 3 year warranty, included, means it would, effectively, cost you £27 a year. As long as the tablet is quad core, and this one is, you can't go far wrong. Screen res isn't great, but what can you expect for £80?
Any idea what the battery life is?

Battery life is a paltry 5 hours, to be expected in a tablet at this price. It's response is rather slow and the hudl's screen is more vivid.
It is what it is; a budget buy. It does offer the buyer his/her money's worth, because it is not a high priced tablet.
Medion is owned by Lenovo and, as we know, it has received some negative reviews for the screen performance/appearance.
One needs to be aware that, although the 3 year warranty is most welcome, if the performance is poor, that is not a fault with the tablet.
Also, what is the returns policy with a tablet? Under DSR, it can be returned, as it wasn't seen/held before purchase. Currys instore sales returns policy is to return, box must not have been opened. The online sales policy on refunds is based on DSR. Because you are going in to Aldi to buy it, the staff could insist on the box not having been opened, if you are returning it just because it is no longer wanted. Check with the shop before you buy.
Obviously, there should be no problem with a faulty product.

I was in Aldi yesterday and overheard a woman talking to a member of staff about this tablet - he said they only had six last time round, and all went within the first hour of opening, so he advised her to be there at opening time.
