Your post surprises me to some extent.
Maybe you have not been observant enough to note that many threads are closed and removed by the mods whenever they feel the need to as a result of the threads' contents in their opinion.
There has been a number of administrative edits (as they term it) in some threads where certain words/sentences have been removed by the mods instead of closing the whole thread.
If you have a problem with a post/thread, hit the alert button and complain and I am sure the mods would appreciate your concerns.
That way, you would feel better.
