No, there are plenty of these apex predators off Canada as well - and always has been.
It is the White shark's ability to maintain a body temperature far higher than the surrounding water (like it's Lamnid close relatives the Mako, Porbeagle and in particular the Salmon shark) which makes this two ton torpedo with teeth far stronger, faster, more efficient and able to swim in colder water than most other sharks.
