Can anyone recommend a good diabetic cook book please?
There are so many on the market that I don't know which to chose !

Oh that's brilliant, thanks! Touch wood, I'm not diabetic but my Turkish sister in law is & won't acknowledge it despite her gait, eyesight & the fact my Father in law - who also chose to ignore it, years ago died from ignorance. I'll get my hubby to try & send the Turkish version to her son for her. plus, it's great if I cook for her when I'm out there as I'm a low fat eating veggie - I can return the favour.

I think it really boils down to avoiding high GI carbohydrates and all sugars especially. Though a little of what you fancy should be ok if not eaten in isolation.
Beyond that you just really need to keep the weight down and eat 'healthly' - just like everybody should!
